check-in & check-out?

Check-in is from 4pm.

By all means, check with us & if it’s not too busy, we are happy for you to drop off your bags with us, or move in, if your room is ready. However, in the summer, early check-in is not possible.

We live here so you can arrive any time after 4pm, however, if you expect to arrive in the dead of night, please let us know & we will try to stay up for you.

Check-out is 11am.

We have to be pretty strict on check-out in the summer but we can be a bit flexible. Ask us at breakfast, we’ll either say no sweat, or if you want to stay all day, we might charge you a bit. However, please don’t be offended if we say that we can’t do it, there’s simply too much to prepare for our next lovely guests.

paying?

As a rule, we charge guests on the morning of check-out.

We accept all major credit cards including Amex, however there are some european debit cards that our system doesn’t like.

We use Stripe for payments. Your card details are encrypted on entry, so we never see the full number.

We also accept bank transfers, cheques in Euros and of course, cash. There are several cash-point machines at the bottom of the hill, twenty steps away.

It can be tricky finding us the first time. If you’re lost, please call us & we’ll guide you in.

Bear in mind, when there is a market or a ‘manifestation’, which happens a good deal in high summer, the traffic flow is even more disrupted to create space for fun!

cancelations & deposits?

We have a strict 14 day cancellation policy.

That means that we will charge the full amount if not cancelled 14 days prior to arrival. We always try to re-book the room ; if we are successful, we’d won’t charge you the full amount.

We charge a 10% non-refundable deposit for bookings in high summer (17 juin to 17 september) & for the rest of the months we register a credit card.

For multiple room bookings, we will ask you to guarantee the full amount & will take a non-refundable deposit. We’ll discuss with you before we take anything.

taxis & car hire?

There are options but on the whole, it is a bit tricky here especially in the summer, and needs some degree of advance booking.

We have a couple of taxi drivers we use who are happy to do airport runs. We can get quotes & book for you.

car parking?

We have space for five or six cars in our own carpark, depending on size, obviously. It works on a first come, first served basis and is often a shuffle around breakfast to get the right ones out!

However, there is ample free parking at the Chateau (100 metres up) or down at the square (100 metres down) although on market days it is very reduced. Many guests choose to park on the other side of the river, where there is tons of parking & a short walk to us.
