We have been told the house is injected with our own type of warmth & style, we hope they’re right.

We are aiming for an organic fusion of faded but formal French traditional with interesting artisanal pieces, London attitude and a dash of Danish elegance.

Most critically, the turntable strategically positioned in the blue guest salon, hooked up to the Ferrari of soundsystems, the Funktion 1, is one of our favourite features.

We swear that tunes at breakfast is an unbeatable way to start the day.

Brocante finds of Vallauris pitchers with orange glaze & vintage glass vases

Our love of mid-century furniture, artwork and pottery adds a little modern spice to all our public spaces.

Brocante treasures are liberally (possibly too liberally) sprinkled around; a growing collection of colourful Vallauris pottery, weathered Scandinavian mid-century Relling chairs, legendary French ceramicist Roger Capron coffee tables, to name a few.

We absolutely love to showcase local artists and artisans, past & present. We’re always on the lookout, especially for the monumental staircase which positively begs for monumental pieces. Surprisingly tricky to find artists who like to work on a massive scale..

& our coffee is strong

Hotel de l’Orange started life with fabulous bones which we marvel at on a daily basis.

We can only hope we are injecting a fresh lease of twenty first century life to be savoured by all our lovely guests, summer or winter. A fireplace that begs for a cold enough winter day to share a warming tipple. A cool corner seat to read in the heat of the afternoon.

Our communal spaces are earthy & sophisticated, injected with fine period interior architecture, richly patterned floors, deeply patinated walls. They are compelling spaces, quietly classical themes, witty interludes and convivial highlights. Come soon…
